The new pedestrian bridge connects the promenade at the trade port with the first headland at the Speditionsstreet, the location of the beach bar "Monkey's Island" until fall 2006. Several well known buildings can be seen from here: There is of course the picture postcard view on the Rhine Tower and the Gehry Buildings. In the opposite direction, the Colorium with its overhanging roof is a popular photo object. In front of the Colorium, the colorful "Flossis" climb the facades of the Gründungszentrum (start-up center) and Hochtief Projektentwicklung (Hochtief project development). Beyond the bridge, on the other side of the second port basin, is the landmarked Plange Mühle. The glas cube right on the bridge itself and the patio extending from below the bridge are the restaurant Lido.
