Düsseldorf, No Red Rhine

The plan was attractive: On the occasion of the Bambi Award ceremony 2007, more than six kilometers of the Rhine river were supposed to gleam red. While dry weather was the culprit for the absence of a perceivable effect the night before, it was too wet for most spectators' tastes on the night of the ceremony, because it was raining incessantly. Nevertheless the river remained dark. Only in the vicinity of the floodlights, which should have brought about the miracle, and from few angles was an effect visible at all.
