The Vitusbad ("Vitus swimming pool") on Breitenbach street replaces the central swimming pool on Lüpertzender street. The old swimming pool burned down in July 2001. After two years of construction, the new pool was opened in May 2006. There is a sports pool with 50m lanes, a multi purpose pool with diving platforms, a fun pool with slides and wave generator and a shallow pool for young children. Tanning beds and catering complete the service offering. Patrons pay reduced prices for parking in the City-Ost parking garage, which is on top of the neighboring Mediamarkt store.
