For about one year, the Museum Abteiberg for contemporary art of the 20th and 21st century was closed for renovation, before it was reopened in November 2007. The sculpture garden downhill from the museum was unaffected by the downtime and remained open to the public. The center of the garden is formed by the nested azure and orange glas cuboids on both sides of the fountain. The "Arolsen-Piece" was created by US artist Larry Bell in 1992 and installed here in 2002.
